There are wonderful, dedicated people still trying to bring Americans home. My little sister and a 1st cousin both submitted DNA to help in the identification of the uncle that I am named after. He was the 1st recorded death at Camp O'Donnell. Cause of death given to my grand parents was dysentery and malnutrition. They are still unearthing grave over there.
Even during a hurricane
Back in the 80's we went to DC and made sure we stopped at the Tomb, and the Wall, and Arlington. All were very sobering experiences I'll never forget.
We also went to Geo. Washingtons house. Out behind the house is his tomb that be is buried in. As we were standing there a couple and their young son came by and the boy said "Is he being gross in there?" I couldn't help myself, I cracked up, then the mom started laughing too.
