Mask Nazi comment

Had to go into our local Lowes for some supplies the other day and on my way in there was a 'gentleman' in front of me who was dutifully putting on his mask. I gave him plenty of space and as I went by he muttered "Aszhole!". Now I'm assuming since it was just him and me in the space and I wasn't wearing a face diaper that he was displeased with me for not wearing one. I stopped and turned around and responded "Yep, pretty much!" then proceeded into the store. Ran into him once in the store and he had his mask pulled down below his nose and barely covering his mouth. I don't think he appreciated me not moving out of the center of the aisle and giving him any space when he hurried by...

But, but, but he had one on and you didn't! (previous written in green font!)
The ignorant are wont to hate that which they do not understand and the sheep hate those who won't be controlled. You got a double whammy there, no doubt.

You should have sneezed at him…
...When he muttered "A-Hole", is when I'd have knocked him, letting him know his mask doesnt protect him from everything...I don't suffer stupid well at ALL..I havn't worn a mask in months, few people do around here...state law prohibits stores from posting "must wear mask" signs...IMO a bunch of crap...the China Flu rate is falling big time here...
I worked with chemical weapons/nerve agents for over eight years. I guarantee paper masks or two layer cloth masks don't stop diddly.
Sadly in todays society, rudeness and intolerance for others opinions has become the norm. The "gentleman" making his comment is the typical, you can have the freedom to do and think whatever you like as long as it agrees with me. Gone are the days of live and let live and respecting others. It is a pretty sad commentary about the way we live today. Bob
Masks don't work, especially the ones most people wear.
This whole "pandemic" thing has gone too far, plus its all about control now.
The shot "mandates" are illegal and unconstitutional for everyone but the Military. In the military if you are ordered to get a shot you get one.
Mouth breathers be mouth breathers.............and they have to lower the mask to breathe. Masks are a joke.
"Air flow (sneeze) tests have been conducted extensively, with and w/o a mask. It's very apparent that a mask can and does stop a major % of contaminated air being transmitted."
Those studies show that the masks make the germs go UP! They do not stop.
If you can smell smoke or other odors through the mask you're wearing it's completely ineffective at preventing transmission of covid virus from passing.

Masks ARE doing harm, because they give people a FALSE sense of security.
caterham maybe not, but commons sense, age and not being a sheep can get some very far in this world...
What are you seeing to suggest that?

Well at least here you will find opposing viewpoints not just the party line from the MSM which some here have bought into Lock, Stock & barrel! No offense to member LSD LOL
No kidding. Don't MAKE me trot out Euler's equation again. The Most Beautiful Equation in the World.
When I wear a mask, it fogs my glasses. So...what's stopping those nasty viruses, the mask or my glasses?
Regardless of subject, when I see very educated people voicing an opposing argument being shouted down. ostracized, and ridiculed rather than engaged in a meaningful argument, it raises a red flag with me. Science is not immune from this.
When you silence someone, it doesn't tell the world you're right.
It tells the world you fear what he has to say.
You guys are right: live & let live is over. Every aspect of life is political now. Too many (liberal/socialist) people have turned into bullies and think they can push others around because their views are opposing.
I've never been one to seek out trouble but as I get older, it doesn't take much to get me up on my hind legs. If I take an * kicking, so be it. I don't have to take some bully's disrespect.
I was thinking about that a few days ago. I was driving down the road and could smell that someone in the car in front of me was vaping some fruity crap. I could smell the vapor that was in his lungs, while doing 40mph in a separate car. If that person was Covid positive I was breathing in air and moisture that would be carrying the virus in droplets so small almost no mask would stop it.
Those masks are a false sense of security.
What's the point in wearing the mask in public? They are using the Nazi platbook, and like the Jews, they want us to appease them. This model ends with the gas chamber.
Wear the Star of David.... Wear the mask.
Yep. An N95 mask (far better filtration than anything else we’d use) filters out 95% of the virus.
A sneeze produces about 20,000,000 virus particles.
So the N95 mask only allows 1,000,000 particles to pass.
You can be infected by 1,000 virus particles.
Just a few facts. Sleep tight. 😳
I have an AS in agriculture, a BS in biology, and enough credits to have gotten a minor in physics. I think I may have a fair grasp on the sciences.
Heck old man, your world experiences have given you more knowledge than those degrees ever did. ;)

A mask will keep you from launching a lung cookie across the room, but will never stop you from expelling the virus into the air around you.
An N95 protects the wearer, not those around him.
The cloth things most people wear do little to nothing.
Yes, it is common sense. The science, well at least the honest science, supports this through observed data concerning masking dictates.
Lockdowns are the same. They do little to nothing as well.
It is all visable in the graphs of infection. The virus is following a normal path for an untreated virus in virtually all areas, regardless of mandates and dictates.
It hasn't changed since vaccinations became available either. A simple fact that many will never admit.

I've personally got 98.6 degrees.
Well that is exactly why surgeons and ER folks don't wear them. Totally ineffective. No need to scrub before the surgery either...
They will stop fluids, S-F, and any pathogens contained therein.
The N95s, apparently stop 90%+ of the magical Covid. Much better than a surgical mask.
Your point is less.
Brad Steele
About that the Good Seminarian "act" check your guns then proceed!
My point was exact. N95's are much better.
You're comparing apples and potatoes.
The vast majority of masks that are worn, including surgical masks do not filter much of the air being exhaled. They filter or block a direct path from the mouth outward, stopping the direct passage of droplets, but allowing much if not most of the air to leave the sides or bottom without being filtered.
They do a better job with incoming air, as the lower pressure does tend to seal them a little on the sides and underneath.
Surgeons and ER folk have been using masks for years to keep blood and other fluids from entering the mouth or nose, not a a protection against pathogens.
N95s, particularly those with the check valve, are designed for and effective in the protection of the wearer. They, like the other masks, do much less in preventing an exhaled virus from getting into the surrounding air.
The entire construct of 'wear a mask to protect others' is false. It always has been, and always will be.
