Trucking is now a big issue. I was at the Dollar Tree today at noon and also saw empty shelves- no detergent! I asked the assistant manager and he told me that getting timely deliveries is a problem. It seems that there is now a shortage of truck drivers. He was expecting a delivery at 0800 which still hadn't arrived. I made my purchase and as I was leaving, the truck was pulling in.

Was going to buy a truck cap. None in stock... so I will order one that will take 12-16 weeks..maybe to get to a dealer. Pass.

Maybe we should start making our own stuff again! What would we do if China cut us off?

Mondays Judy and I usually do the shopping for our gun club. Over the past month stock at Sams has been really hit or miss. Paper products have been almost nonexistent. Yesterday they had a couple of pallets of their brand paper towels and probably half the shopping carts in use had a package in the basket. Food and drink item stock is a little better and we average about 80% success on getting what's on the list. Local Grocery stores seem to be doing a bit better for stock but their prices have steadily increased. A good friends son manages a Kroger store and constantly complains about not enough drivers to get the food to the stores and not being able to hire staff to stock when it does get there. Paying people not to work has wreaked havoc at all levels of the economy. Bob

...Thanks to the old fool Biden and his liberal cronies...

..Tha said, I havn't been in a Walmart in forever, several years matter of fact...I cannot stand Walmart, will never bless them with my presence ever again...too many other places to shop w/o putting up with those morons, I shouldn't say "morons", as I think that may be an insult to the morons of the world...
