Decent sized bear. He was there and I wasn't but I'm thinking I would have let the bear know I was going to fight back a little sooner than he did.
...Whats wrong with this guy!!..he was on a tree stand hunting, he realized the bear was climbing the tree he was in, and he did nothing!??...good Lord, the world is creating some really, really, stupid people...bear would have been shot using a bow or rifle, whichever I was hunting with...I'd concern myself with explaining to the Game Warden later...
Struck out. If he didn't have a side arm some bear spray would have worked
Should have thrown him one high and inside.
@Texas1911DE You mean something like this?
Say AAAAAH
"Get off my lawn.......uh, LADDER!"
Ha! That’s when a bear really does poop in the woods.
The first (only) time I've been bear hunting I was the only one in camp using a firearm. Guess which stand I was assigned--the one with claw marks all the way to the seat. Seems the previous archery hunter had a 'bad experience' as a very large bear climbed up to the platform. Bowhunter dropped bow trying to shoot downward and ended up climbing higher in the tree to escape PO'd Yogi.
Mr. Bear tried that again but discovered 30/06 is not so challenged by odd angle shots.
