I too have heard this.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
The charts I've seen put northern Utah right on the dividing line between wetter and drier. I fervently hope that ours is much wetter than last year - we're still in Extreme Drought status.
The wooly worms are mostly brown but the Indians are cutting firewood like crazy.
Farmers Almanac predicted the "polar vortex" cold that affected the south last year in Feb.............this year, predicts the same conditions for Jan.
So what does that mean for me here in Southern Indiana?
The Ohio river will go 10 x past flood stage and make a permanent ice rink till spring thaw.
So what does that mean for me here in Southern Indiana?
maybe a little wetter and warmer.
We had our first flakes this morning. Going to be cold and white in da U.P. it is every winter.
I use a combination of the stripes on a wooly caterpillar and the size and number of pine cones to predict an upcoming winter.
Haven't seen any wooly's around so far but those pine trees are LOADED more than I have ever seen around here!
P.S. I had my DNA tested and the results claimed I was 85% Gypsy. 😁
