Interview with Elmer Keith

Have you ever heard Elmer Keith speak? I stumbled onto an interview done 40 years ago and found it to be quite interesting.  https://www.loc.gov/item/afccal000166/

Awesome. Not very PC and its quite refreshing to hear a guy talk about stuff and people.

I got to talk with Elmer several times...I had recovered a rifle of his and called him...Couldn't believe Elmer answered the phone...Got it shipped back to him and he called me to thank me...Man could he talk!!! He would call me a couple times a year and talk my ears off every time...Boy some interesting stories...(RIP my friend)

I thought his recall was amazing. Dates, names, locations, what people were wearing, what gun he used and what ammo was in it. He really had a knack for conversation.

Never met Elmer but have met Jim Carmichael, he resided not too far from me.

I have several novels form the 1930 t0 50's era. Sure would not meet today's standards for correctness but then I could care less if they do not. Great reading and some were true stories.

Never heard him speak before except in his books. I believe I have all of them in 1st Edition.
