looked up a weather map of when to expect our first snow of the year. looks like its not happening for another year. hate to have to tell the grandkids "no snowman this year kids, sorry".

Well, the good news is next year is only 2 months away.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
You can have my part.
Mine to, flurries here Thursday.
Best part, another day closer to spring.
I'll package some up for you. Couple containers full enough?
Pictures will be enough.
I well remember the snow of 1960.
Snowed every day for the entire month. Saw roads that loaders had cut a swath 12 feet deep in places. National guard dropped necessities to local folks, folks would wave a empty container of what the needed and here it came. Neighbor waved a coke bottle, she didn't get that. One farmer need hay, oops bale of hay hit one cow and killed it.
Don't mind snow as long as equipment will start but that darn ice is a killer.
No snow here.
Wishing upon a star for it, but nothing yet.
23° this morning when I woke up.
Furnace set at 55°, bedroom vent locked down shut, 2 windows wide open, door shut.
Best sleep I've had in ages, under 2 of grandma's quilts.
Opened the bedroom door at 3am when the alarm went off, and the 55° hallway felt like walking into an oven.
Favorite time of the year!
That’s why I love winter camping, snug inside a mummy bag in a snow trench, nose exhaling through a little hole you left open in front.
I had to learn to cover my face with the hood after I froze my eyes shut a couple times. That is a weeeeeird feeling.
