Wooo doggy boy howdy chow right there,,,
Great way to keep venison, and tenderizes a tough old boy. Good one.
Great dinner in a jar.
Yummy!
In the crock pot
Dinty Moore, eat your heart out!! 😁
Canned venison is top shelf IMHO!
I have never eaten canned venison but the older floks around here that have say it is the only way to prepare deer meet. Delicious I have been told.
Sure looks like a giveaway to me ............ and I'm in.
Me to! and I will pay for the shipping.
Certainly isnt the only way, its too much work for most people nowadays, but it is one of the best. It keeps longer, makes more freezer room, makes for a quick meal, and best of all tenderizes the cut.
Is this my invite to dinner? Here's to hopin! That looks great!!!!
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
How long will it last, assuming it not all gobbled up!? Long as freezing does?
Mike, the wife is on a canning forum. They say it’s good for 8 years or more, but the quality may suffer.
In reality, ours won’t last past Christmas.
Growing up when Daddy killed hogs in the winter time,Mom canned the tenderloins . I remember she would fix biscuits and put a slice of tenderloin in it. Wonderful thing to eat before getting on the bus to go to school.
we can the venison almost yearly, but have never done it with the potatoes and other vegetables in with it, may have to give it a try Jim..............
