For some reason my laptop wants to save files to be printed in .prn files. How do I convert them to .pdf files?
Thanks folks,
It's too late for me, save yourself.

We're going to need more info. Your operating system and program you're using for starters.
Or...this might help:

It might just be a matter of selecting another (in this case PDF) format to output when you print. There's also usually a save as PDF option, that you might try. Like RR said above, more specifics would need to be known. What files are you trying to print? What OS?

I use LibreOffice and all I have to do is click on FILE, then Export, then Export as PDF. Once done, save and/or print.
LibreOffice is a free and open source office suite that does everything MS Office does. I use Linux Mint, but LibreOffice runs in Windows as well.

I'm running Win10, Edge browser, and I'm trying to print an e-mail. I can do a "save as .pdf" to a file and when I look at the file it says the type is Microsoft Edge PDF. When I try to print the only type available is .prn. I'll look at https://www.coolutils.com/online/PRN-to-PDF.
I have found that I can copy a "save as pdf) to an usb stick. My printer has a usb input and I can print from there. Perhaps the problem is with my printer driver on the laptop.
I'm getting too old for this computer stuff!
Thanks guys,
As long as your satisfied with the print quality, it makes no difference.
I didn't ask "Why?" but it did occur to me.
My most sincere condolences for the Win 10/Edge surveillance and remote control package.
