    The Super Grade was the first Sheridan made - about 2100 mfg'd. I think I saw one at a gunshow once.

    Mine has no serial number. I think the first ones were mfg. in 1947 and was their mod. A. This may be their Super Grade. They then came out with a mod. B selling for much less in 1948. The mod. C came out in 1949. I don't believe they put ser. #'s on them until around 1971. 1955 they started with the "crescent" shaped butt stock. Mine has this. 1956 the rear site came out with set screws & the hole to help remove the bolt was removed. Mine has this hole. I guess mine was mfg. in 1955. Good luck finding a Mod. "A".
