Ruger Blackhawk 30 cal Carbine cylinder

I picked up a used Ruger Blackhawk revolver in 30 cal carbine. Can anyone tell me if the groove cut in the face of the cylinder is factory? Looks suspicious. It shoots fine but hard to eject the casings from certain brands of ammo. Thanks for any comments.

FWIW ,,,,,,,,Mine does not have a ‘groove’ ,,,,,,,,
3 screw or new model? Too lazy right now to dig my never fired 3 screw out of the safe.
30 carbine is a hot load for a handgun, sticking may be that some of the ammo brands are hotter than others.
Make sure chambers are extra clean,
The old models (AKA 3-screw) have that groove.
I have an older 3 screw .30 carbine Blackhawk and the cylinder has that factory made groove.
