I have what I believe
to be the back half of a German double rifle. Is anyone able to tell me more?? Thank you.

Never seen those markings on a double rifle. 9.3 cal? Has JP Sauer identity build . Where are the barrels
Crown and U was a Suhl proof mark.
Yeah Crown over U is the final proof on pre 1939 guns. Rest of the marks were probably on the barrel.
Thank's guys. I only have what you see. A gentleman brought it in this afternoon for me to sell. He said it belonged to his Grandfather but no one knows where the barrels are. It looks like a well made piece.
Beautiful half-a-gun. What a shame.

Yeah, the barrel is missing
I think you have a Drilling there. Is there a third firing pin below the two breech block firing pins? It appears to be a standard grade, no engraving, typical well-made German firearm. The three pins on top of the receiver are cocking indicators.
If its a Drilling(3 barrels) it might be a Nazi Airforce survival rifle called a M30. They look a lot like that.
