I never heard of it before but MotorTrend just named it car of the year.
The version they evaluated was $139,000 and supposedly has a range of 500 miles. I used to be a fan of MotorTrend but it seems they are following the green trend in an attempt to stay viable.
I, for one, am not paying 139 grand for a car that has no infrastructure to back it up. It may be a great car but I am not going to plan my trips around finding a place I can charge it overnight. Bob

It won the "Golden Calipers." award!! We have a member here that has signed ones!
Well I have decided that this afternoon I will be awarding my beautiful red 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis Car Of The Year!!!! And you might not believe me but I would rather have it than that Air car.
I have been having these very Lucid dreams about owning a car that cost more than my house payments did back when I was making house payments. 😯
a very new low declaring an electric car
My first car was Motor Trend's Car Of The Year.......a new 1968 GTO.
My.........how they've fallen..........sigh....:(
Interesting specs.
1,100 Horsepower
9.9 second Quarter mile
0-60 in 2.5 seconds
The only way I would buy an electric car would be if it was a hybrid. At least you wouldn't have to hunt for an outlet, just a gas station, and they are everywhere, for now.

Motor trend vec's of the year is full of BS quite often.
Kinda like listening to politicians..
Had a Torino Cobra in 1970 Car of the Year.
Quote: Heck back in the late 70’s they picked the Dodge Omni.
Hey!!!! I owned a Dodge Omni back in the day and I kind of liked the car until my mechanic told me that he refused to work on it ever again (after my 4th or 5th visit). He called it a "throw away" car.
