Signing of Mayflower Compact ... (they probably don't teach this ... anymore )
On this day in 1620, 41 male passengers on the Mayflower, prior to landing at Plymouth, Massachusetts, signed the Mayflower Compact, by which they agreed to abide by the laws of the new government they would establish.
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

its sad what the " new teaching" has become its like there dumbing down the kids to be more sheeple as time goes on
I think of the brave people who did such voyages facing the unknown but did so in hopes of a better life and gave up so much to do so
its hard to image what they faced each day in a new world to even stay alive
have to wonder what they would think of todays world . I know the founding fathers who fought and died fighting for th e freedom of the country would be sad
Here is what they have done in line with what DR stated.
"In July 2020, officials announced that the museum would be renamed,[12] noting that their plan "...for some time, has been to announce a new name for the Museum later this year as we commemorate the 400th anniversary (1620-2020) of the Pilgrims' arrival on the shores of historic Patuxet."[13] It coincided with a wave of name changes that year meant to be more inclusive.[14] Officials stated that discussions had been ongoing for more than a year to assess whether the existing name reflected "the full, multivalent history that is at the core of the museum’s mission."[13] While a new name was not yet revealed, the museum began using a new logo that read "Plimoth Patuxet" instead of "Plimoth Plantation."
They made it up because they landed in the wrong place and had to get along with each other. They were not all pilgrims some were just normal colonists. The date they have is November 11 because that is when it was signed in the old style of dating.
In the name of God, Amen. We whose names are underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread sovereign lord King James, by the grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, etc.
Having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith, and honor of our king and country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia, do by these presents solemnly and mutually in the presence of God and one of another, covenant, and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic, for our better ordering and preservation, and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions, offices from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the colony: unto which we promise all due submission and obedience. In witness whereof we have hereunder subscribed our names; Cape Cod, the 11th of November, in the year of the reign of our sovereign lord King James, of England, France and Ireland eighteenth and of Scotland fifty-fourth, Anno Domini 1620.
It was signed by only 41 of the 101 passengers, 40%. Establishing rule by the elites, which continues today.
I thought that you were going to say it was Biden's birthday.
My first guess was the sinking of the Atocha in the hurricane. Was 2 years off.
