I go through a lot of heavy brown paper, and 2" packing tape. I wrap each piece and then they go into a
heavy duty box that I stuff with the brown paper till I can't get anymore in there. Then make a label on Pirate Ship before they go to the post office.

Paper is cheaper than bubble wrap, and I think it does as good, or even a better job.
Knock, knock knock on Heavens door,😊
you take conceal carry too serious,,,
new paper is the cheapest. I stop buy my local appliance store an see the clerk the throw away the soft this foam that is wrapped around the merchandise. They throw it away. Lots of long boxes too. Plus the corner card boards are also nice to stiffen up a long gun
I used to chase boxes driving around to get what I could from gun shops. It took way too much time. I pay $4.50 each for good heavy 53x8x4 boxes and about $40.00 for a 24" x 900 foot roll of 40 lb. brown craft paper. That is delivered from ULINE, 1-800-295-5510.
Go to Home Depot and look for construction paper.

If you check out whatever packing companies you might get a price break....I use Pratt Industries, but I've ordered from several different outfits over the years. I pay $2.80 for my small rifle shipping boxes and $3.60 for my larger boxes that will fit a plastic rifle case. I've ordered the paper rolls by freight to get a price break, but dealing with a pallet of paper rolls is such a pain in the rump that its just easier to run to Lowes or Home Depot and get around 15-20 at a time.
I just finished packing our shipping that went out this morning. I swear, if I could pay a teenager to come in and do this I would.....but I just don't trust that the boxes will be packed right, so I spend hours and hours each week getting things ready to go.

I am certain I could get a better deal, but I don't need the quantities you do. I order thirty boxes and one roll of paper at a time. I just do not have space to store a palate of paper rolls and a thousand boxes.
It's also a good way to get rid of items that would normally be thrown out. I've used foam from old dog beds, blankets, chunks of Styrofoam and other clothing items that would have normally been cut into rags, or just tossed out. All clean of course..
I just ordered three pallets of long gun boxes....I finally got a building to put it all in, but you guys saw that fiasco go down when they moved it in place. Hicks set me up with a wholesale account and I ordered some long gun cases from them for $8 each. On my super lazy days I skip the paper and toss everything I can in zipper cases....but its not very cost effective, so I cannot do that all of the time. If people wanted to pay an extra $10 for cases I'd totally do that with everything....but people think I'm pocketing a bunch of money with the $45 we charge already....when it averages out to a loss for me on shipping just about every year.
I needed some shop lights in my shed and those boxes worked great for shipping, even if one rifle was over four feet I could cut one box down and add it to the other box.
If ya'll go out to Wally and buy a bunch of shop lights for the boxes I'll take the lights :)
