First time buying and FFL transfer

Brown824Brown824 Member Posts: 1

I bought my first item that needed an FFL transfer and have a few questions..

How long does it typically take for an FFL to contact the seller to have the item shipped to them?

If you have an item you've won and change your preferred FFL after, will they receive the information automatically from Gun Broker? I ask because the FFL I originally set never contacted the seller and stopped responding to me.

Call the FFL you intend to use and request they email a copy of their FFL to the seller. Then call the seller and let them know what is going on. Communication is key.

I would contact the receiving FFL first, and make sure that they are still doing transfers, and see how they are willing to give their info to the seller. I would then contact the seller and see what all they need, and how they are willing to receive it.

There is an FFL lookup feature in, I believe, tools for buyers, or something like that. Pick a GB listed FFL if there is one close to you, contact them with auction details and you are off and running.

"How long does it typically take for an FFL to contact the seller"................this isn't the receiving ffl's job, although some do. it IS your job to supply the seller with the receiving dealers ffl. you should have contacted the receiving ffl before bidding to make sure they still do this.
