Happiness is a warm cat on a cold day......PIC

I start out most days feeding the cat and sitting on the front porch... I generally read some scripture and meditate on the meaning of it all. Some days I watch the sun come up and see my neck of the woods come to life... Martha is generally ripping around the place this time of day. But today she settled into my lap, groomed herself, groomed my hand (actually I think she is just making sure I am edible should anything happen) and then she fell asleep for a good half hour or so...
The day sure started out well.....

SWEET!!
Martha, still a great cutie and a great pal like my little dog Willie.----------------Ray
Martha is thinking, happiness is a warm lap on a cold day. Perspective is everything. Bob
Read something about a fur cod piece once. Might just be the ticket
Be careful, she will have "you" trained to make your lap available.
My cat is so pushy. Even before I sit down on the chair in the living room he is getting ready to jump up on my lap.
Once on my lap he expects to have his stomach rubbed and will stay for hours. In fact it he stay so long my legs fall asleep.
So true. And I have read that the purr is a healing frequency.

Btw, a purrfect start to the day!
David feels this is a specist thread.

We adopted our cat when he was about 4 weeks old. He fit in the palm of my hand like a hammock and would fall asleep there if I had the time to hold him.
At night he would crawl into bed and snooze between me and the wife and I had concerns about him if I happened to roll around and change positions in my sleep. Sure enouph! One night I was rudely awakened by feeling something pushing on my chest. It was that tiny little cat fighting for his life! Luckily, I'm a light sleeper and did not smother the poor bugger but to this day, some 3 1\2 years later and now a whopping 15 pounds, ole Junior holds a grudge against me!
I think maybe cats never forget! He does show much love and affection for me but when I go to bed each night after my wife, he always vamoose's!!😊
