It was a beautiful day here in central MO...72, calm and sunny. I decided to head out to the local conservation area and fish one of the more out of the way little lakes. It is half a mile or so in from the parking area. I walk in and catch a couple 13" bass with a spinnerbait fishing over the stick ups from a lily pad flat....
So it seems like it is going to be a good afternoon fishing. I decided to walk 2/3rds of the way around the lake which was another half mile plus. I get set up and first cast I hook a decent fish. Jumped out of the water and appeared to be 3-4 pounds or so. It runs me around a stump and gets off. Now I am really feeling good. I catch another 13" and the phone rings.
My bride calls me and says "Hey, I just got a call and we have dinner plans, better head home now" So there I am over a mile from the truck and the fish are biting !!! Like I said she must have a drone up there and waited until I had walked about as far away from the truck as possible ! 😲
Well it was a nice meal with some good friends, so I will forgive her this time !

seems like a great way to spend the day .
but I will agree sometimes being interrupted when your having fun is a bit of a bother
my wife accuses me of having a alarm on her bath room door , she tells me almost every time she just gets sit down I come looking for her . knocking on the door or calling out her name 😮
Are you sure William that it's a drone following you, or that nagging neck pain tracker that she placed in you awhile back?? 😉

It's a woman thing. They teach their daughters this stuff at a young age.

Hey I am getting old and still take long walks in the woods hunting and fishing...Ten or so years ago a buddy of mine who was the picture of health, had a heart attack and died doing the same. Agreement with my bride is that I always have a cell phone on me. Probably the right move, my bride is pretty wise...
