It looks like quite a few Yellowstone watchers on the forum. Anybody planning on giving the prequel a look see? We're no big fans of McGraw and Hill's politics, but their music is OK. Nothing in common with Costner's political leanings either, but enjoy most of his acting. We'll give the new series a try, I suppose.
Arrivederci gigi

Watching it now , looks good so far. Think it will be a hit for sure .
Like it so far.
Just finished the episodes on Paramount Plus. Going to be good, it already is to me, imo.
Didn't watch it . Too violent..insert green font.
I do believe he recently came out in politics
Yellowstone is good watching but I personally prefer the 1883 Western themed show better, with Sam Elliot in it what's not to like....😊
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
Well, here I was thinking we could watch it on paramount (included in our cable package) and now I find out it's on paramount+ (premium service). I'm ancient enough to remember when cable TV was commercial free and supported it's programming through subscription fees. Now, we still pay subscription fees AND we have to sit through all the stupid commercials. Don't see us paying another 5 bucks a month to watch this series. That might change when you guys start telling me what I'm missing. We were able to watch episode 1 on regular paramount and it was just OK.
Yep all the networks are doing the bait n switch with their shows now and it really pizzes me off, I will not pay for more premium channels, already paying too much for directv... it will eventually be shown on the regular channel, but may have to wait a year or so... I did watch the first episode on regular Paramount and it was pretty good.
@austin20 I'd venture to guess not everyone likes him or somebody fat fingered and meant to hit a like... if that's the case they can correct it by clicking again... But like you I like him!
Something about a Biden ad during the election. Don
Actor Sam Elliott publicly expressed his personal support for Joe Biden's presidential candidacy in 2020.

About this rating
What's True
Elliott, who provided the voiceover for a Biden campaign ad, also appears to have voiced an anti-Trump, pro-Biden ad for the Lincoln Project, but did not do likewise for any other candidate, and has expressed antipathy towards Trump in the past.
What's False
Elliott did not explicitly endorse Biden's candidacy, in his own words, and his voiceover work for the Biden campaign and Lincoln Project cannot necessarily be conflated with personal support for the candidate, since Elliott is a professional actor.
Origin
In October 2020, readers asked Snopes to verify reports that the actor Sam Elliott had endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, after providing the voiceover for a Biden campaign ad during that month’s World Series.
For example, on Oct. 21, Newsweek reported that:
A video featuring the voice of Sam Elliott premiered Tuesday night during the first game of the Major League Baseball World Series. However, this wasn’t a commercial for his latest movie playing a cowboy or similarly-minded, hard-living outlaw. Over piano accompaniment of the “Star Spangled Banner,” the baritone-voiced actor known for films like A Star is Born, The Big Lebowski, and Road House calmly and resolutely speaks of America while endorsing Joe Biden for president.
Meredith Corporation news stations KMOV4 and KCTV5 published a report with the headline “Sam Elliott Endorses Joe Biden in New Ad,” and similar articles were posted by KRON4 and PopCulture.com.
Multiple reputable sources reported that Elliott, who is renowned for his deep, distinctive voice, narrated the Biden campaign ad, entitled “Go From There,” which first aired on Oct. 20. He also appears to have voiced a pro-Biden, anti-Trump ad for the Lincoln Project, a group of erstwhile Republican political consultants campaigning against Trump’s reelection.
just saw this, I’ll step up and say it was me.
Elliott did voiceovers for pro Biden and anti Trump commercials prior to the election.
He lost a lot of ground in our house over that.
My opinions and 50 cents won’t buy you a cup of coffee most places.
Mule
I'm sure he got paid well. Separating liberals from their money.
At least ''1883'' ain't full of Dodge Fiat pickups. Daddy used to say he'd rather have a sister in a cat house than drive a Damn Dodge
Watched the 2nd episode on Cable TV the other night. Wow - really cleaned house in the Saloon!
To roughly quote (correction) Billy Bob Thortons's character. "Some of you all think of yourselves as being gunslingers in this town. Be warned, I'm the only Killer here."
@drobs it was Billy Bob Thornton not John Malkovich and the character is Marshal Jim Courtright...
Pretty sure that Marshall was Billy Bob Thornton.
Mule
They look a lot alike...
Well, maybe he really needed the money. Either that or....
