My Christmas Gift To Me, LOL!
Urinary difficulty, and it kept getting worse and worse. I passed a few stones, and was surprised that I passed them so easily, given their huge size. It got to the point that I'd wake up to pee, lie back down, and have to get up again in a few minutes.
Went back to the urologist. It had been a while since he'd scoped my bladder. He was always reluctant to do it, because it is pretty unpleasant, but I didn't care; I asked him to take a look. He did and found stones. He used a tiny grabbing tool and removed a few, VERY unpleasant. Then he said there are enough of them and of such size that we really need to do this in the operating room. I agreed and went in the hospital a few days later.
This time, he used a tiny LASER to blast the stones into tiny bits so I could pass them easily. He let me watch the video during my next appointment. Pretty cool. The uncool part was having a catheter installed for several days. Getting that darn thing out was a boon of the first magnitude.
Much better now. I can go 3-4 hours between potty breaks now. YAY!

Glad you're doing/feeling better.
I had that done a decade ago, to me it was a relief. When you can shoot a stream like a 6 yr.old by you know it was worth it...😊

You going to change your GB handle to IP Freely?
glad to hear your doing better.

If I correctly recall, he was a fluent author and his book was ‘A Yellow River’ by I P Freely.
Glad to hear you’re in a better way now!
Is he going to write the book, Yellow River, by IP Freely?
Glad you're doing better, keep on,,,
I got myself a new flashlight. Painless, but not as good a story.
Good to hear that you are on the mend, David.
Worst pain I have ever suffered! I've only had one kidney stone, but it was enough to last my lifetime.
Glad to hear you're mending for your Christmas present. I hope you don't have a recurrence.
It hurts just READING about it.
Great Christmas present, David.
My experience with kidney stones is quite limited, THANK YOU LORD!!! I have had 5 or 6 episodes in my life, the first being about 30 years ago. My first episode was the worst one, I honestly thought I was dying.
I'm glad you are feeling better but just thinking about your problems caused me to shudder. Kidney stones, as you well know, are their own special kind pain none of us want to experience!!
Bladder stones is what I had. My wife has kidney stones from time to time and those things are miserable.
