I am always looking for gun collections for sale from private parties.
What is the best way to find sales by estates or individuals interested in selling?
Thx

Look where?
Where the guns are.

buddy up with some estate auctioneer companies
Maybe put an ad in the local paper or on Facebook or something? Most of my private buys have come from friends, family, or people who had heard I was interested in guns and ammo.
Do what kannoneer suggests.
Estate auctions sales often go higher than retail. I guess people try to help the family out. There is often a site for local gun owners and you can make contacts through there. Of course individuals sell here on the GB auction side. I have purchased several items off of individuals there.
Around here the "Estate Sales" are becoming popular. Crew comes in, put prices on everything, then lets publin in to buy stuff over a weekend. First day - full price, second day- most stuff half-price, third day "half of half".
Rarely seen any guns; they have buyers that will take them for safety and legal reasons.
Talk to those people and see whar you can work out.
Auctioneers already have people set up to sell the few guns to unless they have a load and the owners want them in the auction. Worked for a few and gave some appraisals. Tough nut to crack and get into. Run an add in the NEWSPAPER, yes old folks like me get them and you might get lucky.

This seller is retired LEO and runs ads in the local papers.
l find lately i get most of my goodies from the classifieds on forums. No sales tax, Usually no shipping charges or credit card fees. As always, must go thru an ffl on gun sales. Avg savings 25% in fees alone
