A question for Crossbow hunters....

I finally caved in and bought my first crossbow. Even after cranking my compound all the way down to a 55 pound pull, my old shoulder just can't handle it anymore...
Now the question...How do you transport your crossbow out to your hunting stand or blind ? I walk a minimum of 500 yards to a stand and as much as mile. Thanks..
Comments
mine has sling swives much like a rifle
So do you use a sling ?
yes
Thank you..
Cased when I use my ATV or just carry it over my shoulder.
I have a sling made to go over both shoulders with a clip buckle waist strap. Carries the crossbow vertically butt down.
My crossbow has a sling, but I find it is uncomfortable on my back when walking. So, I bought a cheap padded case, which also has a sling. Much better.
with all the illegals around, hire yourself a gun/bow toter, he can also gut and drag if you get lucky............
You will usually not find that a crossbow is user friendly to carry and be comfortable.
Try carrying one with a climbing tree stand on your back, not fun.
Also I take a small bungee cord and wrap around the arrow quiver so it will not accidently come off when walking in before dark.
Walked over a mile once to my stand before daylight and noticed that the quiver had came off the crossbow in the dark. Had to wait for daylight and looked for over an hour and finally found the quiver and when I got back to the stand sweaty deer were waiting for me and ran off. Got one of them the next day.
Sometimes experience is all I have to offer.
Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you wanted in the first place.
I have none to offer, only go a 1/4 mile and carry it like a rifle. But always uncocked.
I sling mine also.
Pull up rope in my stands.
