I just learned that Betty White passed away today. Rest easy, great lady!

When World War II broke out, Betty White put her career on hold and volunteered for the American Women's Voluntary Services. Her assignment included the transportation of military supplies through California. She also participated in events for troops before they were deployed overseas.
Years later she was married to the late Alan Ludden who us old folks remember as the host of Password. Mr. Ludden earned a Bronze Star for his service in the Pacific during WW2. Both real good Americans. Bob
I don't normally say this about many in the entertainment field but she really was a national treasure.
