Yesterday morning dark and early we had breakfast and then loaded into a tour van for our final trip into the great outdoors.
We were blessed with clear skies with a few wispy clouds.
The moose were stirring, enjoying a breakfast munch.
Cow and calf out for a snack in the stream.
View from the windshield.
The lookout over the Snake River where Ansel Adams took some of his iconic photos.
We finally spotted about 10 bighorn sheep. No rams, only ewes, yet it was awesome to see them.
We did see bison earlier that day. I failed to take a pic. So as not to let anyone miss out, here are a couple of bison pics from my Yellowstone trip a few years ago.
So far the flight is on time. Wheels up at 1300 local time.

Awesome!
Thank you Susie for sharing your vacation with us! I have really enjoyed seeing all of your pictures! The beauty of that place is just breath taking!
Thank you for sharing.
Great looking pictures Susie. We ran upon a buffalo in Yellow Stone about 3 or 4 years ago. We rounded a curve and there he was just lumbering along the side of the road. He was closer than I wanted to be but there were cars on the other side of the road and behind us so we didn't have much choice. But he didn't even bother looking at us. He just snorted and kept walking.
Thanks for sharing the pictures!
Very nice! You were blessed!
I camped in the Tetons as a yout' ... in May! Thank God the rain and sleet stopped ... so I could lay my vapor barrier down on the snow. My brother's borrowed 0˚ sleeping bag was fund to be of value. ;-)
Went back a few years ago, 40˚ and sleet ... no thank you. Younger man's excitement. Exchanged the wet for a dry 33˚ dawn in Mammoth.
