49ers vs Cowboys. Last 4 to 6 minutes the sloppiest game I've ever scene!

dreherdreher Member Posts: 8,886 ✭✭✭✭

To me it was like neither team wanted to win, each team was trying to give the game away to the other team. Penalties on top of penalties on both sides of the ball. Stupid, undisciplined penalties on both sides of the ball. All of this and the dumbest play I think I've ever seen to end the game. If there was 10 more seconds on the clock that last play would have been brilliant, even 5 seconds more on the clock but that QB sneak with the team needing to line up to spike the ball at the end of the run, not enough time on the clock to try that play.

Lord have mercy these coaches and players are paid millions of dollars to be stupid.

Cowboys were embarrassing yesterday for sure, don't think they have ever played more poorly.

That QB sneak was really stupid.

...I have never liked McCarthy, can't stand him, I hope Jones fires his dumba**, and finds somebody with a brain...not saying the loss yesterday was entirely his fault, but Ive seen him pull a lot of bonehead crap...when Jones was asked about McCarthys furure, he said it was time to go over the loss, not the future...soooo, he did not say McCarthy would be here, but did not say he would be going either...Jones isnt about to give a yes or no answer to that question right after the game...I hope its Jones way of saying "hes outta here"...

    The entire NFL is embarrassing.

They sure have a pretty stadium. Coming in from the east on I20, you are on a high hill overlooking Dallas and Arlington. The stadium looks beautiful, gleaming white in the morning sunshine.

The only thing worth watching on the annual Super BORE is the half time show ... no guaranty there either !

It's all about the pay check , there precious little sport in the NFL.

I refuse to support the whiny little bitches !!!

It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

...I played football from the 3rd grade until I graduated, and any pickup game I came across...always loved the game..

...Yeah, what the heck is that all about?? Some extremely fit athletes that have worked all their lives to be the best of the best, then they expect to get paid for it! I never heard of such! Thats nuts, working for money!...I spent my entire working career working for free, like everyone should...

...I knew a running back coach the years Tony Dorset, Robert Newhouse played, his name was Al Levan... he had played for Atlanta until he broke his neck, then became a coach...when the Cowboys/players lost it did hurt, regardless of the money...I have no doubt its the same league wide...

The QB sneak with more time on the clock would have been brilliant. Dallas has a very fast QB. The 49ers left the middle of the field open to keep the cowboys from getting out of bounds and stopping the clock. With the QBs speed he could have gotten a huge gain, which he did, spike the ball with enough time on the clock to take one shot to the end zone with the length of the field shortened so the last play would be better than a "Hail Mary!" If this play would have been one play earlier they would have had the time to do the "spike". Smart play. Just one or two plays to late.

Well, I hope the "Fortners" display a similar lack of zeal when they play the Packers Saturday.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

    When did they play?

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

...Sounds like a cross section of the American public, from bums to Dr.s and attorneys...those people you mentioned are found in all walks of life...sad but true...The Dr that gave all us guys physical OK's to play High School football here in town, back in the day...got nailed for being a perv, a dam* freak!...I guess the Doc really enjoyed the "finger jab and cough" routine with your dangly things they used to do to guys during sports physicals...😮...😊

"Plow-boys, Sow-boys, not winnin' nothin' Just-now-boys. Huge dollars - no playoff success. That's JJ's legacy until they win something"....whos your team?....and how many Super Bowls have they won?...

..."My team has little to do w/it"

...Yes it does....if youre going to rag another team for losing, "your" team should have a good or better W/L record, or dont rag...especially on a team that has had more success than yours, its a losing argument...

...Nope, I like the Cowboys but my day doesnt depend on whether they win or lose...I really liked 'em when Aikman was the QB...a lot of Hall Of Famers on those teams, and several Super Bowl wins...😁...

Well, this wild card weekend was pretty much a dud. The only game that looked competitive was the Bengal's/Raiders game. The 49'ers/Cowboys game was a borderline disaster (14 penalties on the Cowboy's alone). The rest were fairly forgettable affairs.
