We picked up a collection of Schutzen rifles last week, rare Lugers and some NICE double bbls.

When dealing with an estate its sometimes hard because there are things in there that are totally new to me....which is one of the most exciting things we do. We have around a dozen VERY elaborate Schutzen rifles in this collection...the stocks are amazing, some are engraved with target sites that I've never seen on anything before. There are some rare double barrel shotguns in the collection and three Lugers that took some investigating to figure out the details on.....model 1900s with grip safety. This collection is going to be something else as we go along.

Schutzen's are definitely something out of the ordinary for most of the american shooting population. The history of the rifles is very interesting. Good score, and good luck Kasey..
Ohhh!!
My Great Grandpa had one along with a german drilling in a 16 gauge. After he deceased my Dad tried to buy it from the family and failed. I do recall Pappy shooting it a few times. He was a big frame 6.6 foot pure German . Link below.

This person was really into making things. He had some half done restoration pieces, one project gun is a drilling. He has a few muzzle loaders that are also incomplete. On the flip side he had a crazy stash of BB guns in with all of these extremely high end items.
Thanks for the heads up, I will be watching for the double gun auctions.
