well of course PT109 as a start a lot of brave men not just Kennedy served on them
have to add in of course and the most famous ( well TV )

I always wanted a PBR (Patrol Boat River) like was used in VN to use on one of the local lakes.
there were a couple of manufactures and designs of these boats. one type was built in New Orleans by Higgins. these were the same people who built the landing crafts called Higgins boats.
Some of the earlier ones had the old fashioned, 28-knot Mark 8 torpedo.
Its launcher was powered by black powder.
It would get damp easily unless greased, but the grease tended to catch fire when the torpedo tube was fired and would give away the boat's position at night with a flash.
