    Having spent a couple of years living there in the mid 70s ,I remember what a greedy bunch the dot was. Wonder if this is aboutsafety as much as revenue ?

    I can't get VDOT to scrape snow on my daughter's road in a time manner.

    Around her, if a tree fall across the road, VDOT sends two men and a dump truck with a scraper blade and they just push the tree to the side of the road.

    Reading the article I think its great. Truck goes to weigh station, gets weight and tires checked automatically.


    Im sure some government entity can screw that up, but plenty if retread tires have caused disaster.
