Smart' Gun Mocked After Demonstration Fail
This type of weapon will be the next sensible control feature that sensible gun owners will accept under the right to carry soon.just watch as it unfold as The Democrats gain power in the senate, when ever that is probably after another mass shooting, no doubt.

Smart guns are being pushed in mainstream media to prevent unauthorized people from firing guns in the hopes of preventing mass shootings.
Biometric recognition technology using fingerprints and or RFID technology is used to activate the high-tech pistols.
However, as outlined by the pro-gun website Bearing Arms, smart guns aren't so smart after a possible demonstration failure.
Smart guns could be prone to reliability issues in life in death situations.

I've been hearing about "smart" guns for more than twenty years and none have proven reliable. Someday, perhaps they will be perfected but not so far. The closest has been the rfid ring that the shooter wears but having to shoot off hand in an emergency or wearing gloves posed problems. Just like the fingerprint reader type where gloves or dirty hands or dirty reader would defeat the tech, it just isn't practical. Bob
How would you transfer ownership of a "smart" (fingerprint, biometric, DNA) gun? Take it to a local gun shop and have it reprogramed? Send it back to the factory for a memory wipe? If it is easy then wouldn't a crimminal be able to do it with a stolen gun? A lot of dumb questions for such a "Smart" piece of technology.
Epic Fail
The only thing stupider than the people trying to develop smart guns are the people that would buy them.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Anyone who has tried to use the bio-metric unlocking of a smart phone over time will understand how stupid this technology is. If, however, one comes from the mindset that carry guns are unnecessary, the inability to reliably fire is not going to be a big deal.

When they get laser hand weapons then there will be bio-metrics and you can bet the average citizen is not going to have the right to use one either. Probably a kill switch for when someone goes rouge too.
