Hurrah!!!! 5 stars for USPS

Back when I had my camera business, I started out shipping UPS. After a couple of screw-ups, I switched over to the post office. I had stellar service from them, even with shipments all over the world. But that was over 17 years ago.
As far as mail delivery today, I would give them about 90%.

If I got an adjustment for everything they've delivered late I could buy another house.
USPS sucks. They've completely lost my trust.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
This is a first for me....
I sent a First Class Parcel, Padded envelope with some parts With tracking paid the standard fee.
USPS came back, to customer, and said it was considered an standard envelope because it was less than 3/4" thick. So customer had to pay $4.80 extra to come up the difference to Priority (standard envelope with tracking). Yes, I refunded him.
So Guess I need to start stuffing a few Styrofoam peanuts in each package, to make up the 3/4" ? Or Throw in some Foam Ear Plugs.
USPS ----hmmm, broke an Anschutz rifle stock that was packed up tightly, filed claim, rejected, appealed, rejected, cancelled 3 printed labels 4 months ago still no refund,.Sent a pistol box out and got a chargeback of 4.29. Said it weighed 3.2 ounces, I put 3 lbs. on it according to my USPS scale.
Send the firearms in hard cases.
Oh jeeze guys is it that time again? I mean we cannot go for more than a couple of weeks without all of you telling your horror stories about the USPS and/or other shipping companies... This horse was dead years ago yet every couple of weeks you guys want to beat it again... sorry but it gets really boring...
I had a Browning Citori 410 sporting gun that was shipped in a hard case that had the barrels and forend run thru the end of the plastic hard case. Not sure there is anything that can't get damaged.
The little post office in the town have all new vans for deliveries on their routes.
No! I am not! a lot of you guys need new material! LOL!
They do here as well. Glorified 2wd rear wheel drive mini vans.
Just a brilliant idea where we get a lot of snow and ice.
Incompetent idiots.
Well then you are at the right place! Don
It makes a huge difference where you are located. In cities, you have people delivering mail with the least possible effort. Out here in the country with a small-town post office, we have carriers that will go the extra effort to make sure you get your mail no matter what.
