Sitting all warm and cozy up here in NY State on the Vermont border. feeling sympathetic for the poor folks in NYC. The NY Post talks about " drifts" of eight to ten inches in Central Park...

That should slow the murder rate down a bit.
Yikes!!! How will those poor citiots cope?
Don't bet on it.
Those folks live like fire ants
I've heard of a New York minute and assume it's a really short amount of time. Now we have the New York century, which must last for...what? Two weeks?
New York Citiots (great word, HPD!) have always thought of it as the center of the known universe, despite it being a hellhole of garbage, crime, pollution, and ridiculous prices. If they get snow, it'll be gray - and they'll brag about it.
I blame it all on Frank! Start spread'n the news...........NY, NY!
This is the lead story on ABC News, because it is happening in New York City. If it happens in New York it is important, to them.
"feeling sympathetic for the poor folks in NYC". Itcdoty, your sincerity is underwhelming.
I was born in NYC. Don't miss it I am comfortable in the woods. We don't all stay citiots.
Nailed it..... and is exactly the problem with what passes as news today. News only matters if it is important to East Coast elites and preserving their ideology and it is their ideology they want to force upon the rest of us.
jimdeere, the murder rate may come down a bit because those Tec-9's don't operate when fired held sideways. Snow gets into the ejection port and it takes very little to make a Tec-9 jam.
Yeah but snow doesn't slow down Chicago and the killin'
They've learned to put their Glocks through a waffle iron giving them a mud&snow grip.
Had me a good friend in New York City.
He never called me by my name, just "Hillbilly".
the "snow storm of the century"
I thought that was the last election.
NYC Mayor John Lindsay lost his re-election bid in '73 due to his bad handling of the '69 snow storm.
8" to 10 " drifts!!!!! Almost knee high.
IN CENTRAL PARK !!!!
Call out the dog sleds.
"... " drifts" of eight to ten inches in Central Park..."
... thats deep enough to almost cover one of their rats...
There will be enough garbage piled up on top of the snow
NAILED IT!!
Good song jimdeere. Jr didn't have an easy life. He was the voice of Monday night football to me. Then the network thought he was too "rowdy".
8 to 10 inches? Seriously? At that depth I think awhile about whether it's worthwhile to get the snow blower out, or just drive on it and pack it down some more.
Seriously?????
I can only think of one inconvenience with 8 to 10 inches of snow causes around here that's our wiener dog at 3" of snow he is dragging his family jewels in the snow 😲 any more and we have to shovel a path for the little guy and I cant say I would like it ether 😮
I drove to NYC once. Never again. In Chicago traffic is bad but everybody knows the rules. In New York it didn't seem to be much by way of rules at all.
My friend in the UK sent this

Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
