Absolutely Stunning
Does it have the original box?
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
If it did....I've lost it! 😁
That would be worth buying just to admire the craftsmanship. Amazing!
Beautiful
Bohler-Stahl is the steel used to make the rifle. F.L. are the initials for Fritz Langenham the maker of the firearm. Probably made in the 1930s before WW2.
I have said on here that I am a self described 22 nut but that one is just to dang fancy for me. That is a beautiful classic rifle. Bob
No picatinny rails and not even drilled and tapped for a scope! Phhhffftt! I'll pass.... :)
Some Germans are handy with tools.
Think of it as a challenge! A rattle can of black paint, a Dremel, a bipod, a hacksaw to cut the barrel down and in no time you could have that puppy looking awesomely tacticool.😄 Bob
(auction doesn't start until 2-3-22)
Thank you!......I've altered it a bit to include the info you have given.
You are very welcome. I wish I could help more with the term kleinkaliberbusche. Kleinkaliber means small bore but the busche suffix has me a bit perplexed. Small bore hunting would be my guess but maybe someone on here that is more fluent in German can help. Bob
DROOL, DROOL!!!
I’ll get you started tomorrow.
One question on the springs though…Do you think they are still covered under warranty?
I'm sure it is TOTALLY still under warranty. 😂
It is up and running....we will see what happens in 10 days.
Busche was a name for some one lived near bushes or a thicket. The distinguished name Busche is derived from the Old German word busc, which means thicket or brush.
small caliber brush rifle
Hmmm...that is a brush rifle? It is about the last thing I would drag through the brush after rabbits. The setup is not conducive to snap shooting at close range. But, the Germans named it.
Very fine German Schuetzen target rifle! I know a bit about these and to find one complete with the sights present is quite rare. The post WWI gun laws in Germany were restrictive to allowing citizens having firearms in their homes. They could still own guns but had to keep them at their shooting clubs. Most gun owners would remove the sights and take them home with them after a day of shooting at the club. There were a lot of target guns around where the sights were lost over the years.
The most beautiful aspect of this rifle I see, is, not one ounce of plastic used in it’s making. Beautiful craftsmanship.
