Launching from Vandenberg SPB California. The booster will return to a land touchdown, so this one will be exciting to watch. See it here:
I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

WOW!
Thanks Rocky. As a child I was a big science fiction fan. It has taken this long for the reality of a powered rocket (1st stage anyway) landing to catch up to what was a mainstay of ScFi for close to a hundred years. Thrilling to watch. Bob
Missed it! Poop!
Live at least. Was able to watch the video. Would you ride one of those back to Earth, Rocky?
Rocky's link replays it for you.
A NRO deployment, so the 30 minute video shows the first stage from launch to landing.
You can fast forward through it, however, and see the highlights in 10 minutes.
Spacex Launches and landings are always fascinating.

It is an amazing thing he is doing. I hope he sent some more Starlink satellites my way. We have ordered our unit and have been waiting for over a year!
There's another Starlink launch set for tomorrow, from the Cape.
Thanks
Absolutely incredible!!! Makes NASA look like they belong back in the 40s or 50s!! Amazing what private citizens can accomplish!! Rocky, your WOW! pretty much sums it up!!
Russia and China had better think twice before messing with us, there's even more that would dazzle their brains behind curtain # 2. Don't count NASA out just yet 😀

NASA is a moribund agency, and I speak as a former NASA guy. Their work with aeronautics is superb, as well as their robotic space probes (which are launched by other people), but their Artemis manned vehicle program is in a shambles and is billions over budget as well as a decade behind. They will be unable to afford more than one launch a year with that vehicle, which is unsustainable.
Well so much for trying to put out a little misinformation to our foes 🙄

Thanks for the link. That was cool.
How many here are hooked up to Starlink?
Today's launch is now set for 1:13 pm Eastern. You can re-watch the spectacular flight from yesterday, and also watch today's shot here https://www.spacex.com/
@Merlinnv12 I'm seriously considering it, is wasn't available here until just recently, but I haven't met anyone with it yet to hear about it. I'm really tired of satellite TV (direct) and a separate Internet provider raping me for years and now all the shows on tv want more money for their (plus) channels to stream...
One problem with everything Musk develops is that they improve things too quickly. With Starlink, they're already on Version 3 of the dish and receiver, even though they still have thousands of sign-ups for Version 1 still unfulfilled.
Same goes with the satellites themselves. They didn't get a full constellation of V-1.0 satellites up before they started building V-2.0 birds with laser interconnect. So they already have a mixed-bag of on-orbit satellites that operate differently.
They also have an international problem. Several countries have refused to authorize Starlink services, and so all sign-up contracts have had to be refunded. Musk is dickering with those countries - which are among his primary audience, after all - but we all know how goobermints work.
Launch coming up in about 20 minutes. This one will fly on a southerly heading and will land on an ocean barge. Link to watch is above.
Another great launch and landing.
I suggest if you can to pick up a copy of Time magazine's issue with their Times "Man of the year" on Elon Musk, his personal history and his business's history from the beginning to the present time.
