Just got a call from the county Sheriff.

Our county has been put under a level 2 snow advisory. The drifts are getting pretty bad.

People lose their mind when water freezes.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Beautiful day here today 81° Sunshine with a slight breeze
We made it to 74
That's pretty cool your Sheriff called to tell you that. Either one of three things:
1) you two are good friends
2) you live waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out on the end of a looooooooooong road that gets no county maintenance
3) it's a slow day in the Sheriff's office.
I would advise you not to head over to Bubba's house. Just sayin'...
last I looked were at level 1
single digit temps currently and lots of snow drift's and at least several inches of snow however were supposed to get 8 to 12 maybe more of snow and 40 mph winds . but stocked up bread and milk and TP . I bought 30 gallons of gas and 15 gallons of diesel to add to my stock pile yesterday .. ouch at the pumps for sure
being a "older fellow " my body just does not like the cold any more 😲
Emergency dispatch uses reverse 911 around here for most any kind of alert, severe weather, Bolos, and such.
Hit the button and it automatically dials everyone in local area codes with land lines. Maybe smart phones to.
It was a pre-recorded message. They've been doing that for several years here. We do live way out in the country, there are only 3 houses and a pig farm on our township road. Level 2 is dangerous conditions, and use extreme caution on the roads. Level 3 is STAY HOME.
I was out a little while ago plowing the driveway again. It had completely blown shut. It's still snowing in near blizzard conditions, so I know I'll get to plow some more tomorrow. Tractor time for me is like a motorcycle ride for some of you, except I accomplish some work while doing it. 😁

PS, I used to be friends with the county Sheriff. We've known each other since we were kids. He just retired last year.

You going to till after plowing, what are you planting in the newly prepared driveway?
I'm a 100 miles South of there and have been in shorts for the last 2 days, high 70's and hit 80* today, been windy but nice 😊.

Dang. Stay safe, stay warm.
2 below zero in Wisc. now, warmup next week.
What.....nothing said about buying toilet paper?
Around here we have no TP shortages, just saltine cracker shortages! Haven't seen a cracker in stores for over a month now!
Dealing with hot soup and having to resort to floating Townhouse's is not only a bit expensive but just doesn't quite match taste expectations!
😁
County must be short on crimes to handle.
A new layer of gravel come spring. 😊
