That will do good Ricci, good luck.
Very nice!
Oh I want that gun so bad!! I have wanted one of those since they came out. I have a 1970s vintage 1895, but I want the 26" octagon pipe. That stock cover/recoil pad is CLASSY.
The recoil pad is a necessity. I have one and like hpd, I had to have one. It seems to me the stock contour turns the recoil straight back into my shoulder. Think pile driver. There's no upward force like most rifles. Straight back. I need to shoot mine more. In the current climate of component strangulation, I've found bullets and brass easily available at gun shows. Maybe not cheap though. I worked up a load for mine that I thought was adequate but according to the data was kinda lame. It was beyond trapdoor level but not quite lever action level. 51.5 of imr3031 for a 300gr jacketed sierra. I bought one of those slip on pads and it works so I think I'll try to squeeze a little more velocity out of it. I also have a box of 405gr cast but I don't like to use them. I keep thinking that I'm going to foul the barrel into a nightmare.
Kasey sold mine a couple months ago it done real good. Nice rifle it just didn't come out of the safe much always afraid I would put to many character marks on it
I picked one of those up from a co-worker a while back. Quickly has become one of my favorites. It already has a few dings here and there since it was an Alaska gun, so I get to enjoy it without all the fretting I normally go through with a new gun before I bang it up on my own.
Does yours have any trouble cycling? Mine seems to have that issue with loading where the rim of the loading round won't slide up under the extractor. Supposedly it is a quick fix by bending the extractor out a touch with a flat-head screwdriver, but I haven't given it a try yet.
I don't know. It is a consignment and I have never fired it.
That would be a hard business for me, seeing those beauties come.....and then go.
Sweet
HPD, all you have do is bid high and often and the biggun will be yours🤑
