Good friend of whom I have had the pleasure of setting at her dinner table many times makes her biskits this way, pulls out the flour bin drawer, dumps in the desired amount of butter milk, and some sort of lard , butter or shortening, and hand mixes away in the flour drawer. I think she uses self rising varity. Never measures anything, Some fine eating for sure.
Using those canned store bought biscuits, I flatten them out. Place a hot dog, strip of pre semi cooked bacon, hunk of cheddar or Swiss cheese. Wrap it all up and bake.
