I wonder when schools will start having duck and cover drills again. The reality of what is going on right now, added to our last 2+ years of pandemic tribulation is quite mind boggling to this old man!
Having memories of the Cuban Missile Crisis when I was in grade school at a time in life when my only worries were about contracting COOTIES from that girl who kept smiling at me during recess. I can't even come close to imagine what things must be like for the young ones right now!
There has been a few starts to discussions about what is the best thing we can do to help the Ukrainian people. As for me, Prayers for peace are my best solution. Prayers sent before the Ukrainian problem becomes a World problem of mass destruction!

one of my ex co-workers and I talked about it at work many times .
even just one going off in a large American city would set off a huge panic around the country even world . nothing could be expected just a wild guess except kayos the people . besides the death injury's and sickness panic buying and runs on food and banks the gangs looting and prepper's sheltering up them self it would be so severe I really can not image the impact of such a horrific thing and hope I never see it
Russia has several thousand mini-nukes that have a fraction of the Hiroshima bomb's power. A "tactical" nuke exploded at 5,000 feet above the ground would have a great casualty and damage result, but almost no fallout. Russian doctrine is that using such nukes would allow their troops to enter the area safely within a day or so.

All my life I have lived next door to Seymore Johnson Air force base . For the first 30 years of my life it was both SAC and TAC with around the clock nuclear armed B- 52's on constant alert. Hiding under a school desk within a few miles of a ground zero blast just doesn't cut it .
