I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Naval aviation is a dangerous business.

Glad everyone lived to tell the sea story.

Rinse it off with fresh water, clean the crabs and dead fish out of the cockpit and she should be good to go.

I don't think there is a "normal practice" for something so rare.

IMO, there are two equally likely explanations. Either there was sufficient internal detail showing to be of intelligence value, OR they couldn't find the jet and this is just a ploy to convince the other guys that we did.

There is enough apparent damage/misshapen profile that one could argue it either way.

A friend that is retired Navy carrier pilot heard that the pilot was a new female pilot.

I agree it seems like the recovery happened way too quickly. I can’t imagine that assets were mobilized that fast.

Wait a minute. Are you guys saying that our government would lie to us?

It's too late for me, save yourself.

On another website, a poster confirmed that is was a male pilot. The poster worked with him at one point. As yet unnamed.

It was 37 days from crash to recovery. More than enough time to mobilize assets - especially with the urgency this must have had.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
