I am not a fan of electric vehicles but he is also responsible for Spacex and Starlink. He put Pocohontus in her place over income tax. Pulled his headquarters from California and moved to Texas. And now;
Bet he caused some headaches amongst the greenies when he posted about increasing domestic oil production.
I am glad he gets it and hope he changes a few minds by speaking out. Bob

I forgot about the flamethrowers. The more I think about it, this is one of very few mega rich dudes I'd sit down with and have a conversation over a beer or two. Quirky enough to be interesting and open to new ideas without being super fanatical. He is kind of a pseudo anarchist that wants the government to get out of the way so that problem solving can be quicker and easier. Bob
" pseudo anarchist"
Like maybe a Libertarian? I used to feel the same way about him. Thought he was just another greeny that had too much time on his hands to think up dumb stuff. I'm still not sure what his stance re the 2nd Amendment might be but he seems to have a pretty good grasp on everything else.
He says he has Asperger Syndrome which would account for some of the quirk. He is able to think outside the box, literally.
The description "libertarian" may be close. He is kind of an anti-Bernie socialist. Doesn't believe in taking from the haves and giving to the have-nots. Instead he believes in society setting goals and raising people up through meaningful capitalistic employment and not dependency on govt giveaways. I can't find anything about his definite stance on the 2nd amendment. I do see where he doesn't believe more laws and prohibitions will solve any of our problems, so I hope that attitude extends to the 2nd amendment. That is probably one of the things I'd ask him about over a beer. Bob
I agree......sorta......to a certain degree.
Pretty sure Musk knows that without "enough" oil, gas, and coal........nothing, but NOTHING in this country gets made or "moves"......including his Teslas.
Also.....I agree with others, that electric vehicles are a terrible waste......of Mother Earth's resources.
One more of my humble $0.02 ideas.
