Spent the day at my aunt and uncle's house on the bigger family farm. Razorbacks were playing in SEC tournament. It was spitting snow when I went into town for goat and dog feed.
During the game it began to sleet and then turned to snow. As I was leaving I noticed the deer at the bottom of the hill.
Traveling out to the highway I was enthralled by the way the webs in the weeds had caught the snow. The light dusting we received looked like God had sprinkled a little powdered sugar on everything.

Wow, nice pics. Thanks for sharing.
Whose woods these are I think I know
his house is in the village though
he will not see me stopping here
to watch his woods fill up with snow.
Oh well that's about all I remember so I gotta go. I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep and miles to go before I sleep. 😉
It was 67 degrees. here yesterday. Today....
@jimdeere I see you have the same mother nature as I do.
Here are some pics from the same farm. Took these on February 26th at the tail end of our small ice storm. The trees are beautiful covered in a thin sheet of ice when the sun is out. A little is ok. A lot can create horrible consequences. Luckily it was a thin sheet and most power outages lasted less than an hour.
The pic of the deer in the original post is looking south. This is looking east from the porch.
This pic I snapped from inside the house. My uncle says he has seen her on numerous occasions. She has kits in a den just to the north.
This pond has seen generations of fishing poles and is one of the watering holes for the deer. The deer in the original post are standing a stone's throw from it. This pic was taken from the south facing lawn. The ice had begun to melt by the time I took the pic. It was getting noisy with the ice falling off in large pieces.
yep 66 degrees yesterday afternoon, now we have 6-8 inches of snow and high mid 20's with 20-20 mile hour winds, tomorrow supposed to be back close 50, mother nature must be having hot flashes............
my son sent me a picture of it snowing at his house in Huntsville, al
Here's a picture out in my mom's front yard in Knoxville Tennessee this morning.
