Buyer Beware.
This story was passed to me from a friend and thought it would be a good post.
Story begins with a guys wife buying him a brand new Keltec PMR 30 as a birthday present from a local gun store. When he showed it off to one of his friends, who already owned one, the friend praised Keltec because they included two spare magazines.
Well, our birthday boy was not pleased at all since his new toy didn't have a spare magazine. Later the man made a trip to the store along with the receipt and was told his pistol did not come with a spare mag and to contact Keltec if he wanted to purchase spares.
Something to be aware of for those making new purchases. Make sure you know in advance what should be included on a new gun purchase. Spare mags for some brands are scarce and selling for exorbitant prices on auction sites.

I bought a couple of Keltec P 17 and each came with 3 mags.
Aren't they great and accurate. I purchased mine before firearm pricing got crazy.
It took 2 years to find one for sale.
I bought my PMR when they first came out. It came with 3 magazines...
I was looking at the ones on the auction side and they all seemed to come with two magazines...maybe the dealer ""borrowed" it ! Years ago I bought a Glock 21 and the box said two 13rd magazines. Magically there were two 10 rds mags in the box....One of the sales guys had made the switch....the dealer made it right...
There's always more to the story, but from what I've read...if the LGS wants to stay in business he/she should be a little more customer friendly. Why not try to find an amicable resolution (offer to order him one at your cost?) instead of pushing the guy out off to the Keltec website?
The owner of a LGS would always take the accessories & spare mags. If the customer questioned it, he would blame the wholesaler. Then he would pull items from "his stock" & give them to the customer.
I sell a lot of PMR-30s, they come with 2 mags, not 3. maybe way back when they first came out they had three but I don't ever remember them having three, always just 2. I bought one personally shortly after they came out and it also only had 2 mags.
I thought that this might be about one of Ricci's auctions by the title--------GREEN FONT-------
Hey!! None of my guns come with mags. Back in 2013 and 2014 when things were so crazy, a lot of dealers were selling pistols that "came with only one mag" and selling the extra mags for high prices. I remember Jiffy who worked at Glock sending an email or a letter, I can't remember which, stating that any Glock dealer who was caught selling guns without the proper number of mags would be dropped from all Glock programs.
Awesome! It would be a pretty crappy thing to do to your buyers, but it's amazing how low some will go.
I've got a family member that is in the wholesale game.....you never know what they will put with a gun......mags, holsters....rebates.....its never a given that a gun will have the same "extras" with it any given time. The dealers have little control over this and its rare to find a dealer taking the extras from a gun pkg. I know of one local outfit that is infamous for doing that....but its up to the buyer to make sure they are happy with what they are getting and the price is fair compared to what they would pay if they bought from someone else.
I got an early one.....there was a third mag in the box. Maybe the gun shop I bought it from threw it in... I ended up sending it back to the factory a couple years later when the take down pin broke. It also used to keyhole with some loads. I will give Kel-tec a lot of credit for decent customer service...
They replaced the broken part and sent it back with a new barrel and changed the sights. No charge and they paid shipping both ways too. A few thousand rounds later it still hasn't missed a beat !
