I thought those Yankee's were supposed to know how to drive in snow and ice? Looks like Atlanta to me.

Here in the western part of the state, we had warmer than usual on Thursday and Friday. Then it snowed 6-8 inches. So the road surface is still holding heat and the snow falling melted the the first few inches. The the temp fell to 15 Friday night and 11 last night. Anyplace on the road that didn't get sunlight was a sheet of ice.
Yes, one inch of snow and Atlanta shuts down. They would call out the National Guard, but the Guard would be unable to report.
Its hard to drive on Ice.
Personal best time Anchorage to Seward back before they straightened the road was 120 miles in 96 minutes. That was in a driving snowstorm with 6-10” of new snow up and over the pass, 4:00 in the morning and no tire tracks anywhere. My car (Datsun 240Z) simply wouldn’t go any faster through that much snow.
I got passed on top of the pass like I was going backwards, by an Audi Quattro.
