Hi Thumpgun79. Welcome to the forum. I'm sort of a Navy vet. Did my active in the USAF but did a couple years in the Navy Reserves. They called me an AIRDALE. 😁 I felt like a new breed of dog. 😁 My father served in the Navy doing duty in the South Pacific during WWII and I have two younger brothers that both did their 20 and retired out of the Navy.
Howdy, Seabees, 4/09/64 - 4/08/68. Daughter 25 years A.F., Grandson just made E-6.
DE 68=73. Home port Long Beach. 3 westpac's
SeaBees '65-'69. Constuction Electrician, E-5 when I got out. Would have stayed in, but knew where I was headed if reupped.
What battalion? I was 10. CEP-3 Chu Lai and DaNang.
I was a tin can sailor and never got closer than Hong Kong or the Philipines
