You didn't ask - but I am going to tell you anyway.

I have a Smith & Wesson model 16-4 that the cylinder is chambered for .32 H&R magnum. I took it to 5 Points Pawn - where Erick Steinberg is their gunsmith. I thought he was going to have a heart attack when I told him I wanted the cylinder convereted to .327 Federal. He sent if off to be re-chambered and re-blued - has to be to prevent rusting - now I can use everything from .32 S&W to .327 Federal.

OMG, the humanity!!!
S&W Model 16-4 32 H&R Mag 8 3/8" Blue NIB - Revolvers at GunBroker.com : 914726353
🤐😮😥😫
Yes - basically what Erik said when I told him what I wanted done - Several 'shooting-buddies' have tried to 'horns-snoggle' me out of it - I told them - buy one for yourself and have Erick send the cylinder off for conversion.

I think I would have went the route of buying a Ruger SP 101 for about 800.00 if I wanted to shoot 327 Federal not many of those model 16's out there
32 h&r is so yesterday go for it😈😱😭
should be plenty for whitetail,,
I did the same thing with a Ruger Blackhawk 32-20/32 H+R convertible. Sent the 32 H+R cylinder to Hamilton Bowen to be reamed out to the 327 Federal Mag. It's great to be able to fire 5 different 32s from one revolver and I really enjoy it.
What surprised me was that I called four different pretty well known Smiths with four different replies. One wouldn't do it. One wanted the revolver shipped with the cylinder. One was WAY high on price, as in more than double what Hamilton Bowen charged and Bowen only asked me to ship the cylinder. Hamilton Bowen was the easy choice.
I wish I would have asked! I definitely wanted to know.
Very nice, AQH!
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Outside of the Ruger Super Single Six (un-molested by Ruger thank you) others don't fit or feel right in my hand. The .327 Federal chambered Rugers I have seen on GB-Auction side are at or over $1K when all is said and done. Far - Far - less expensive to have the Smith & Wesson cylinder rechambered and reblued. But but, what about moon clips?

Congrats!
Hope it turns out better than expected.
