Prayers from here.
Prayers from here on the way.
Anything for a Jarhead. Prayers sent.

The Osprey has a bad reputation for being dangerous. In a testing period between 1991 and 2000, Ospreys crashed four times in non-combat operations, causing 30 fatalities.

Those things don't crash all that well. Gen Pretraus used to fly around in one to show they were safe, I never liked them.
Yes sir, where they were last is rough country to say the least. Maybe, just maybe/🙏
Prayers said for the missing aircrew as well as their families as they await information about their family members that were on board that aircraft.
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Prayers for the families and fellow marines.....the news reported all four perished in the crash...
😥 There are no words. Prayers to all of the families.

Four U.S. Marines were killed on Friday when an American MV-22 Osprey aircraft crashed during a large NATO military exercise in Norway, the Norwegian prime minister said.
"It is with great sadness we have received the message that four American soldiers died in a plane crash last night," Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said on Saturday on Twitter. "The soldiers participated in the NATO exercise Cold Response. Our deepest sympathies go to the soldiers' families, relatives and fellow soldiers in their unit."
The plane crashed in Nordland, a county in northern Norway, local authorities said. Police arrived at the scene around 1:30 a.m. local time and "soon confirmed that the crew of 4 were deceased," Nordland Chief in Staff Bent Eilertsen said in a statement. "As far as we know, all 4 are American."
Search and rescue teams had been looking on Friday for the missing aircraft in northern Norway. The Second Marine Expeditionary Force said in an update Saturday morning that Norwegian authorities had located the wreckage of the MV-22B, and that the four marines are currently listed as Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown.

It was terrible weather when they crashed, rain and 45 mph winds.
I understand there are plans to use the V-22 for the new Marine-1 the president uses.Prayers go out to the families of the Marines.
prayers for the friends and family .
obvious no easy way to go but to know your about to die in minutes or seconds in a crash has to be terrible feeling
I’d be really surprised if that happened. Not sure the measurements compared to a regular helo, but the Osprey’s down-draft is absolutely brutal, and would probably be a bit tough on the White House grounds.
I recall discussing the V-22 with one of the Marine Corps pilots when I was in a joint school. Seemed to me that it might make a terrific maritime search and rescue asset. He advised the opposite, however. Said the downdraft would require you to hoist from 200+ ft. Such a height, of course, presents a whole barrel of other issues/challenges.
I agree. The V-22 always sort of scared me.There has to be a few seconds in flight that it is neither a rotor wing or a fixed wing.
