My friend just bought a house and property that adjoins this place on the river.
Look up Eggleston, VA. on Google maps. He owns a piece of the cliffs above the river seen at the beginning of the video. The river makes a 180 degree bend here.

Cool video, and I love fried cat fish.
Coincidentally I had recently looked at this area on google earth, while looking for the Audie Murphy airplane crash and it is ~20 miles as the crow flies NE of your friends place.
What kind of catfish are those?
Mule
I'm guessing Flathead catfish. Bob
REALLY great eating.
"What kind of catfish are those?"
The best eating of the catfish family, flatheads. Actually considered a game fish in some places, they are not bottom feeders as a rule.
dpmule, I've been to the Audie Murphy crash site and memorial. All kinds of memorabilia is left there. The Forest Service collects it when it gets too much and stores it at their facility in nearby Blacksburg, Virginia.
Nice video. Lots of fish. I have been thru that area several times working on the NS railroad.
Hey Jim, we've been there.
nice thanks for posting . I notced it had they were at 74 feet deep I did not realize it was that deep , also seemed like the cat fish were in no short supply
we been over the new river bridge a few times when going on vacation great looking area , we have even at the bottom of the bridge area by the river to watch " the white water rafters " however never been during the bungie jump days
Cool video, thanks for sharing.
i used to fish the lower New River a lot on the WVa side of the mountain. the rafters ruined it for me. when i was a teenager i could hike to the river and fish for three days and never see another person, now i hear there are thousands.
