A Walmart Distribution Center caught fire in Plainfield Indiana ... 200 fire fighters trying to put it out.

Recon a fire sale is in the making?
yep, I saw that too. Really poured out heavy black smoke.
lucky every one got out that was a good thing
but that put a ding in there inventory and supply chain
Daughter #2 lives ~ 10 miles NNE of the fire and she said she saw the smoke and the next day while walking the shoreline of a small lake very near he home, she saw all kinds of small debris carried there by the convection tower, it must have really been burning hot and creating a big vortex to suck that stuff up.
Mule
My home is 50+ mile NE of Plainfield and you could smell it in the air.
Plainfield or the fire?
Don
Brad Steele
Both !! 🤣
Have had a few construction projects for Very Large storage and distribution centers. Checked my notes- those were nominally 1 million square feet, high rack storage. Each building about 23 acres.
News said it was over 1 million sf. 200 firefighters on 23 acres
These types of structures require fire suspension systems. Interesting.
Suppression? Don
Bunch of cheap plastic Chinese junk burning, let 'er rip!🤑
Don-Yes & thank you.
Been my experience that sprinkler systems can and sometimes are overwhelmed by very hot fast moving fires . Supply issues can also impact them . Sadly ,depending on jurisdiction issues not all commercial systems are maintained and inspected like they should be .
