They're going to the final 8 after beating Purdue 67 to 64. Way to go! No other 15 seed team has ever done that in the history of the NCAA tournament.

Here's a funny coincidence . Today March 25th is national Peacock Day and Saint Peter's mascot is the Peacocks.

I confess that because of their political BLM stance and their street style of play with some very blatant fouls I was hoping they would lose. Saint Peters is a Jesuit school and the Jesuits have pledged 100 million in reparations for the descendants of the people their distant ancestors enslaved. I guess their BLM support shouldn't surprise anyone but I don't think it should be on display at an athletic event. Just my opinion and yours may vary. Bob

Well I don't normally watch much of any sports but when you're stuck in the house wearing a heart monitor waiting to find out why you're like a drunk monkey when you stand up and walk there's not much else to do. So I really don't care what their political views are I'm just watching to past the time until I either get better or kick the bucket. And the way I feel to today, given the option, I'd go with the bucket kicking thing.

Smitty, I hope you get better and recover your health. My post was in no way condemning watching the game since I watched it also. It was more my frustration in political and half baked social issues encroaching on what should be a purely athletic event. This country has become so overwhelmed with this stuff, I lament the fact that it is hard to escape being exposed to it.

Stay strong and and i hope you get your health issues worked out. Bob

Will the $100,000,000 be administered by BLM? I would call this "virtue signaling" on the part of St. Peter's. Since blm has been stripped of their charitable status in many states (even commiefornia, I think) it would be troublesome finding an avenue to distribute any "reparations". I could make a similar pledge on the condition that no funds would be disbursed until there was a mechanism in place that I found satisfactory.

EDIT: This might be what's referred to as "hijacking a thread". OOPS!

    Arrivederci gigi

I agree BobJudy. This supposed to be a basketball game not a political statement.

It's too late for me, save yourself.
