My colt serial NO 36966 shows as a production date of around 1913. My slide has the usual patent dates ending FEB,14,1911 BUT not a 1913 date. So it only has 4 patent dates on the slide. I was just wondering if there is any significance to the markings ? Could they have put an older new slide on at the factory? Or am I just over thinking this . Thanks

Pull off the fireing pin retainer plate and see the numbers match, patent dates are right production start 1912 post some pics🥰
