i’ve been looking on gb for a shotgun . just bought a beautiful o/u now i’m shopping for an older pump in 16 or 20 gauge. it seems on many listings the seller will offer little information, and often overlooks the barrel choke . easy enough i’ll just hit the ask a question to find out . we’ll most of the time i get no response. i check back to the listings to see if there’s an update and watch the item expire with no bids . all most immediately the item is re listed with same info ….frustrating !

Yep. Also Auction side issues are generally not allowed here.

Agree, you'd think that some sellers would put a little more effort into making their auctions worth reading.
sorry if inappropriate, thought someone might have some insight to this ….
Just scan auctions that have the information or look at pics to see if the barrel is pictured with the choke mentioned on it.
Try an advanced search and include specific words that you are looking for. You can also exclude words to help filter out what you aren't looking for.
select fire , went over the pics carefully . on same model different gun i have located the choke stamp. same location on one of mine in safe. on this gun it has a * in that location…
Good advice ^^^^^above.
Brownings mark their barrels with asterisks and dashes to indicate choke. An asterisk, * indicates full choke. An asterisk with a dash, *- indicates modified choke. I don't know the rest.
Here is my auction for a Browning Citori, https://www.gunbroker.com/item/925080477
I too have noticed that some sellers are less than responsive to questions from buyers. Nothing you can do but shrug and go to the next one.
I hope this helps.
